I'm an aspiring (or as someone once corrected me pre-published) Young Adult author from Nashville, TN and for the last eight years have called Atlanta, GA home I love writing science fiction, fantasy and contemporary stories involving LGBT characters of color. My goal is always to explore the possibilities of human nature. I often find my writing involving the topics of death, suicide, and depression, because I believe it is important to show that someone can be ‘broken’ and still save the world.

 

When I was in my fourth year of a Chemistry Ph.D. program when I realized that a bad day of writing was better than a good day in the lab—and good days were disappearing. I then had to do a lot of soul-searching before making the difficult decision to change my path from chemistry to writing.

While my nerdy little heart still has a large space reserved for scientific endeavors, I'm currently working on making my publishing dreams a reality.
